Chae Soo Bin Desperately Waits For News Of Yoo Yeon Seok In "When The Phone Rings" Finale

MBC’s “When the Phone Rings” has unveiled an intriguing glimpse of its upcoming finale!

Based on a popular web novel, “When the Phone Rings” tells the story of Baek Sa Eon (Yoo Yeon Seok) and Hong Hee Joo (Chae Soo Bin), a couple that married for convenience—and the the romance that blossoms between them after a threatening phone call.

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming final episode, Hee Joo desperately misses Sa Eon after his sudden disappearance. While walking alone at night amidst the falling snow, Hee Joo gazes up at the sky, visibly lost in thought—and the hollow look in her eyes makes it clear that she hasn’t been able to forget Sa Eon for a single second.

As Hee Joo goes about her everyday life waiting for Sa Eon, her stepsister Hong In Ah (Han Jae Yi) catches her off guard with a meaningful remark. After hearing what her stepsister has to say, Hee Joo breaks down crying and grabs In Ah’s hand in despair, piquing curiosity about their emotional conversation.

Just when Hee Joo’s yearning for Sa Eon becomes too much to bear, she finally obtains information about his whereabouts. She then meets with his close friend Jang Hyuk Jin (Ko Sang Ho) to ask for his help, but Hyuk Jin seems startled and hesitant at her determination. Will Hee Joo be able to find the missing Sa Eon?

The “When the Phone Rings” production team teased, “We’re approaching the ending of the love story of Sa Eon and Hee Joo, who have been heading in one another’s direction for over 20 years. To find out how their story ends, please make sure to tune into the final episode.”

The series finale of “When the Phone Rings” will air on January 4 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
