"When The Phone Rings" Ends On Highest Ratings Of Its Run As "When The Stars Gossip" Premieres
MBC’s “When the Phone Rings” wrapped up on a new personal record!
On January 4, the romance thriller ended on the highest viewership ratings of its entire run. According to Nielsen Korea, the series finale of “When the Phone Rings” scored an average nationwide rating of 8.6 percent, marking a new all-time high for the drama.
JTBC’s “The Tale of Lady Ok” also achieved its highest ratings yet as it kicked off the second half of its run by breaking into the double digits. The latest episode of the historical drama earned an average nationwide rating of 10.3 percent.
tvN’s new space drama “When the Stars Gossip” premiered to an average nationwide rating of 3.3 percent, taking first place in its time slot across all cable channels.
Despite facing stiff competition from the “When the Phone Rings” finale, SBS’s new romance drama “Love Scout” enjoyed a significant increase in viewership for its second episode, which rose to a nationwide average of 6.5 percent.
Meanwhile, Channel A’s “Check in Hanyang” scored an average nationwide rating of 2.0 percent for its fifth episode.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Iron Family” continued its reign as the most-watched show of Saturday with an average nationwide rating of 17.4 percent.
