Park Seo Joon Confirmed For New Rom-Com Drama
It’s official—Park Seo Joon is set to star in a new drama!
On January 6, the production team confirmed Park Seo Joon’s casting in JTBC’s new drama “Waiting for Gyeongdo” (literal title).
“Waiting for Gyeongdo” is a new rom-com drama about former lovers Lee Gyeong Do and Seo Ji Woo, who first met and fell in love at the age of twenty. They unexpectedly cross paths again at an unforeseen moment in their lives, leading to a series of events filled with romance and humor.
Park Seo Joon will play Lee Gyeong Do, an entertainment reporter for Dongwoon Ilbo. Lee Gyeong Do is a relatable office worker with a grounded personality, neither eccentric nor unusual. His life takes a chaotic turn when he reconnects with his ex-girlfriend Seo Ji Woo, whom he once had a passionate relationship with, after her husband becomes involved in a cheating scandal.
The drama explores their complex love story, alternating between the present and flashbacks to their college years, when they shared a passionate, on-again, off-again relationship.
“Waiting for Gyeongdo” will be directed by Lim Hyun Wook, known for “King the Land,” “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency,” and “Life.” The script is written by Yoo Young Ah, who previously penned “Thirty-Nine,” “Divorce Attorney Shin,” and more. Earlier this month, it was announced that Won Ji An is also in talks to star in the drama.
Park Seo Joon’s upcoming drama “Waiting for Gyeongdo” will air via JTBC. Stay tuned for more updates!
