Watch: Choi Hyun Wook, Mun Ka Young, Im Se Mi, And Kwak Si Yang Deliver Passionate Performances At 'My Dearest Nemesis' Script Reading

tvN’s upcoming drama “My Dearest Nemesis” has shared a sneak peek of its first script reading!

On January 6, the production team of “My Dearest Nemesis” released photos and a behind-the-scenes video from the first script reading.

Based on a popular webtoon, “My Dearest Nemesis” tells the love story of a man and woman who first meet via their online game characters during their school days then meet again in real life as boss and employee 16 years later.

The script reading was attended by director Lee Soo Hyun and writer Kim Soo Yeon as well as the cast members including Mun Ka Young, Choi Hyun Wook, Im Se Mi, Kwak Si Yang, Ban Hyo Jung, Go Chang Suk, Kim Young Ah, Moon Woo Jin, and more.

First to arrive on set with a bright greeting was Mun Ka Young, who led the atmosphere with her energetic presence. As the script reading officially began, Mun Ka Young fully immersed herself in the role of Baek Su Jung, the planning team leader at Yongseong Department Store, capturing everyone’s attention. True to her character as the “Executive Killer,” she delivered her lines with a confident and sharp tone, perfectly embodying a professional who excels at her job.

Choi Hyun Wook showcased a deadly charm with a surprising twist, sure to make viewers’ hearts race this winter. He flawlessly portrayed the double lives of Ban Joo Yeon, an executive of Yongseong Department Store, leaving the staff on set captivated by his performance. A perfectionist who is the sole heir to his family’s conglomerate, Ban Joo Yeon has the painful memory of being rejected immediately after confessing to his first love—Baek Soo Jung—with whom he met through an online game.

Adding to the excitement, Im Se Mi and Kwak Si Yang also drew attention with their seamless transformations into their characters. Im Se Mi vividly brought to life the free-spirited personality of Seo Ha Joon, a pub owner who lives as the wind takes her. As “My Dearest Nemesis” marks the reunion of Im Se Mi and Mun Ka Young, who previously played on-screen sisters in the hit drama “True Beauty,” anticipation is high for their enhanced chemistry.

Meanwhile, Kwak Si Yang exuded warmth and charm as Kim Shin Won, a design team leader at Yongseong Department Store. The unique chemistry between pub owner Seo Ha Joon and her customer Kim Shin Won hints at an intriguing romance, further heightening interest in their storyline.

Ban Hyo Jung, playing Ban Joo Yeon’s grandmother and the chairwoman of Yongseong Group, adds depth and gravitas to the story with her commanding charisma.

Meanwhile, Go Chang Suk, playing Baek Su Jung’s father, perfectly fulfilled his role as the comic relief with his signature ad-libs and unique acting. His father-daughter chemistry with Mun Ka Young also brought smiles to everyone’s faces.

Additionally, Kim Young Ah, portraying Choi Hyun Wook’s personal secretary, showcased seamless teamwork with him, hinting at a standout performance to come.
