'Namib' Achieves New All-Time High + 'The Queen Who Crowns' Joins Ratings Race

The Monday-Tuesday drama ratings race has gotten more intense!

According to Nielsen Korea, episode 5 of ENA’s “Namib” garnered an average nationwide viewership rating of 2.3 percent. This is a 0.2 percent increase from its previous episode’s rating of 2.1 percent, marking the drama’s new personal best score.

Meanwhile, tvN’s new historical drama “The Queen Who Crowns” premiered to an average nationwide rating of 4.9 percent.

“The Queen Who Crowns” tells the story of the fiery life of Queen Won Gyeong (Cha Joo Young), a kingmaker who dreamed of a new world in the early days of the Joseon dynasty and made her husband, Lee Bang Won (Lee Hyun Wook), a king with whom she shared the power of the throne. Although she was described in historical records only as “King Taejong’s wife” or “Mrs. Min” without her full name, the drama reimagines history from the perspective of Queen Won Gyeong, who lived an independent life without losing herself in spite of devastating betrayals and harsh reality.
