Coupang Play’s upcoming drama “Newtopia” has released a new poster and teaser!

“Newtopia” tells the story of Jae Yoon (Park Jung Min), who is serving in the military, and his girlfriend Young Joo (BLACKPINK’s Jisoo), as they race through a zombie-infested Seoul to find each other.

The newly released poster grabs attention with illustrations of unique characters caught in the midst of a zombie outbreak. Against a bright pink background, hordes of zombies flood downtown Seoul, setting a tense and chilling tone.

The protagonists stand out as well. As they battle bloodthirsty zombies, Jae Yoon and Young Joo race toward each other from opposite sides. Their emotional reunion builds suspense, while their unexpected weapons—ranging from a scraper to a chainsaw—add excitement to their fight against the zombie horde.

The poster also introduces several key characters. Among them are Jae Yoon’s team members—Private Ra In Ho (Im Sung Jae) and Aaron Park (Kim Jun Han), the manager of a hotel near Jae Yoon’s unit. Also featured are Young Joo’s team members—Jin Wook, Young Joo’s senior, gaming company CEO Alex, and a young man preparing for his third attempt at the college entrance exam. These diverse characters add to the high-energy atmosphere, increasing anticipation for what’s to come.

The trailer grabs attention with its unique and playful atmosphere. On the day Jae Yoon and Young Joo decide to part ways, a zombie virus sweeps the world. Zombies crash into Young Joo’s car, while hordes swarm the tower where Jae Yoon’s unit is stationed.

Despite the life-and-death situation, Jae Yoon and Young Joo are determined to reach each other. They fight back against the zombies, shooting flames and swinging golf clubs, each battling the horde in their own way. The thrilling action sequences—set in a tower in downtown Seoul and in the heart of Gangnam—add suspense, leaving viewers eager to see what danger the two will face next.

The trailer’s soundtrack, shifting between somber and cheerful classical music, complements the action. Playful effects, like popping eyeballs and “zombie” text, add unique flairs, boosting excitement for the film.
