On January 7 at approximately 11:47 p.m. KST, the music video for “APT.” surpassed 800 million views on YouTube. The song was originally released on October 18 at 1 p.m. KST, meaning that it took just over 81 days and 10 hours to reach this feat.

This incredible achievement cements “APT.” as the fastest K-pop music video to reach 800 million views, breaking the previous record set by PSY’s iconic 2012 hit “Gangnam Style,” which took 131 days to hit the same mark.

Globally, it ranks as the fourth fastest music video ever to achieve the milestone, bested only by Adele’s “Hello,” Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” and J. Balvin and Willy William’s “Mi Gente.”
