Kang Tae Oh And Kim Sejeong Confirmed For New Historical Drama

It’s official—Kang Tae Oh and Kim Sejeong will star in MBC’s upcoming drama “The Moon Flows in This River” (working title)!

MBC recently unveiled its 2025 drama lineup, confirming that Kang Tae Oh and Kim Sejeong will lead the historical romance “The Moon Flows in This River.” This announcement follows earlier reports from TenAsia in October, which revealed that Kim Sejeong and Kang Tae Oh were in talks to star as the leads. At the time, Kim Sejeong’s agency, Jellyfish Entertainment, confirmed that she had received an offer and was positively reviewing it.

“The Moon Flows in This River” centers on the romance between a crown prince who has lost his laughter and a woman who has lost her memory.

Kang Tae Oh, known for his role in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” will play Crown Prince Lee Kang, a man who has sacrificed his own happiness to seek revenge after losing his queen. Just as Lee Kang is about to carry out his long-awaited revenge, he encounters Park Dal Yi, a woman who looks exactly like his deceased queen. For an unknown reason, their bodies switch, leading to a series of chaotic events.

Kim Sejeong, who delivered standout performances in dramas like “Brewing Love,” “The Uncanny Counter,” “Today’s Webtoon,” and “A Business Proposal,” will star as Park Dal Yi, a commoner who switches bodies with the crown prince. This drama will mark Kim Sejeong’s first historical drama.

“The Moon Flows in This River” is set to premiere in the second half of 2025. Stay tuned for more updates!
