MBC Responds To Reports Of 2024 MBC Music Festival Airing During Lunar New Year Holiday
MBC has issued a brief statement in response to reports about the 2024 MBC Music Festival broadcast schedule.
On January 9, SPOTV News reported that the 2024 MBC Music Festival is scheduled to air in two parts during the Lunar New Year holiday, on January 29 and 30.
According to the report, Part 1 is slated to air on January 29 at 5:30 p.m. KST, with Part 2 following on January 30 at the same time.
In response to the report, MBC clarified, “No final decision has been made regarding the broadcast schedule for the 2024 MBC Music Festival. It is still undecided. We will provide updates once the schedule is confirmed.”
Initially, the festival was set to air live on December 31, 2024 at 8:40 p.m. KST. However, the live broadcast was canceled following the tragic Jeju Air plane crash on December 29. MBC later announced that the performances would be released at a later date through a pre-recorded broadcast.
