Suzy, Yoo Ji Tae, Lee Jin Uk, And Geum Sae Rok Explore Realistic Romance And Heartbreak In New Film
Upcoming film “7 a.m. Breakfast Meeting for the Heartbroken” (literal translation) has officially begun filming!
On January 13, the production team released photos from its script reading, featuring the main cast members including Suzy, Yoo Ji Tae, Lee Jin Uk, and Geum Sae Rok.
Based on a 2012 novel by Baek Young Ok, the film “7 a.m. Breakfast Meeting for the Heartbroken” follows the story of Sa Gang (Suzy) and Ji Hoon (Lee Jin Uk), who come together at a breakfast meeting for people dealing with heartbreak. At this gathering, they exchange their “mementos of heartbreak” and share their stories and pain, exploring how individuals cope with breakups and lost love.
Suzy and Yoo Ji Tae, portraying a flight attendant and a pilot respectively, are set to deliver emotionally intense and detailed performances as they portray a poignant love story marked by loss and heartbreak.
Lee Jin Uk takes on the role of a professional consultant instructor, while Geum Sae Rok plays his long-term girlfriend who is a teacher. The two are expected to present a deep romance that delves into the realities of long-term relationships and the pain of separation.
Notably, this film marks a reunion for Suzy and Lee Jin Uk, who previously worked together in the Netflix series “Doona!” where they portrayed a brief yet memorable connection between a star and a producer. Additionally, a talented ensemble cast, including Mi Ram, Jun Hye Jin, Bae Jong Ok, Lee Sung Wook, and more, will come together to delicately portray various stories of love, heartbreak, and life, adding depth and richness to the film.
“7 a.m. Breakfast Meeting for the Heartbroken” is aiming for a theatrical release in the second half of 2025. Stay tuned!
