Nam Da Reum Confirmed To Star As Younger Counterpart Of Song Joong Ki In New Drama
Nam Da Reum will be starring in a new drama!
On January 14, TENASIA reported that Nam Da Reum will be starring in JTBC’s upcoming drama “MY YOUTH” (working title) as the younger counterpart of Song Joong Ki’s role.
In response to the report, Nam Da Reum’s agency BAA confirmed that the actor will be joining the project.
“MY YOUTH” is a romance drama that follows Sunwoo Hae (Song Joong Ki), who begins to live an ordinary life later than most people, and Sung Je Yeon (Chun Woo Hee), who must disrupt her first love’s tranquility for her own success. The story unfolds as these two characters, who once supported each other through the darkest times of their lives, reunite after more than 10 years and start to create new beautiful moments together.
Nam Da Reum will be playing the younger counterpart of Sunwoo Hae. A novelist and florist, Sunwoo Hae was once a famous child actor, but he was gradually forgotten by the public and is now living a new chapter of his life.
Nam Da Reum debuted as a child actor portraying the younger version of Kim Hyun Joong’s character in “Boys Over Flowers” in 2009. He has since played the younger counterparts of male leads in various dramas including “Pinocchio,” “Six Flying Dragons,” “Hotel Del Luna,” “A Piece of Your Mind,” and more.
Recently, Nam Da Reum returned to acting following his discharge from the military with “The History of Us,” which snagged him the Drama Special Award at the 2024 KBS Drama Awards.
