Hyeri And Jung Soo Bin Forge A Complex Bond In Upcoming Mystery Thriller Drama “Friendly Rivalry”

Upcoming drama “Friendly Rivalry” has unveiled a new poster!

Based on a popular webtoon, “Friendly Rivalry” is a mystery thriller set at Chaehwa Girls’ High School, an elite institution for the top 1 percent in South Korea, where cutthroat academic competition takes place between the students. Jung Soo Bin stars as Woo Seul Gi, a transfer student who becomes entangled in her classmates’ hidden ambitions—and the secret behind the mysterious death of her father, a former college entrance exam question setter.

The drama also centers on the unique relationship between Yoo Jae Yi (Hyeri), a highly admired genius in the top 0.1 percent, and Woo Seul Gi, the new transfer student who catches her eye. Viewers are left wondering why Yoo Jae Yi, who seems to have it all, takes an interest in Woo Seul Gi.

Meanwhile, a poster featuring Yoo Jae Yi and Woo Seul Gi has drawn significant attention. In the image, Yoo Jae Yi rests her head on Woo Seul Gi’s shoulder. The vertical arrangement of the characters hints at a unique dynamic between them, piquing curiosity.

Yoo Jae Yi’s subtle smile, blending innocence and mischief, raises questions about her true intentions. In contrast, Woo Seul Gi, dressed in a school uniform with one arm stained red, grips a sharp pencil. Her serious expression and tight hold on the pencil create a sense of tension as if she’s ready to use it at any moment.

The phrase, “Can you sum up our relationship in one word?” placed between the two characters suggests the complex emotions and events ahead, further sparking curiosity. Viewers are eager to discover what will unfold between Yoo Jae Yi and Woo Seul Gi and what their true feelings for each other might be.

“Friendly Rivalry” is set to premiere on February 10.
