TVING’s upcoming drama “The Scandal of Chunhwa” (working title) has released a new teaser!

“The Scandal of Chunhwa” is a historical romance drama that tells the story of Princess Hwa Ri (Go Ara) who, after experiencing the heartbreak of her first love, declares her intention to choose her future husband herself. Her groundbreaking decision throws the royal palace into turmoil and entangles her with two men: Choi Hwan (Jang Ryul), the city’s most notorious playboy, and Jang Won (SF9’s Chani), the city’s most eligible bachelor.

The teaser begins with the buzz around “The Love Story of Chunhwa,” a book so popular that every woman in the city seems to have read it. Rumors suggest that the book’s heroine might actually be based on Princess Hwa Ri herself.

The teaser then shows Princess Hwa Ri staying true to her bold declaration of freely searching for love and personally selecting her husband. From accidentally brushing fingers with the elite Jang Won while searching for a book to sharing a heart-fluttering moment while seeking shelter from the rain with the genius painter Min Hong (Bae Yoon Gyu), she is seen experiencing romantic tension with multiple men.

A playful interaction between Hwa Ri and Choi Hwan also hints at a unique chemistry between the two characters. When Hwa Ri confidently proclaims, “I am the princess of this kingdom,” with an air of authority laced with humor, Hwan is unable to hide a smile as he jokingly responds, “I’m scared.” The teaser concludes with Hwa Ri’s bold proclamation that she wishes to marry, leaving viewers eager to learn the identity of the man who has captured her heart.
