Watch: Seo Kang Joon, Jin Ki Joo, And More Immerse Into Their Roles At Script Reading For New Comedy Action Drama
Upcoming drama “Undercover High School” (literal title) has shared a sneak peek of its first script reading!
“Undercover High School” is a comedy action drama that follows Jung Hae Sung (Seo Kang Joon), a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent who goes undercover as a high school student to track down Emperor Gojong’s missing gold.
The script reading was attended by director Choi Jung In, writer Lim Young Bin, and the cast, including Seo Kang Joon, Jin Ki Joo, Kim Shin Rok, Jeon Bae Soo, Lee Seo Hwan, Jo Bok Rae, Yoon Ga Yi, Kim Min Ju, and more.
The actors set a lively tone from the start, offering a range of performances. Seo Kang Joon, who plays Jung Hae Sung, an ace agent with NIS’s Domestic Team 4, displayed both the charisma of a skilled agent and the traits of his high school student character. His portrayal of a student on an undercover mission has sparked excitement about where his character’s story will lead.
Jin Ki Joo plays Oh Su Ah, a temporary Korean history teacher, bringing the character’s bright and lively personality to life. Su Ah will form a special mentor-student bond with Hae Sung, adding a fun dynamic to the story.
Kim Shin Rok, as Seo Myung Joo, the director of the Byungmun Foundation and Byungmun High School, showcased her veteran acting skills. She skillfully controlled her voice tone with a cool, measured delivery and used subtle facial expressions to enhance her performance.
Jeon Bae Soo, Lee Seo Hwan, Jo Bok Rae, Yoon Ga Yi, Kim Min Ju, Park Se Hyun, and Shin Jun Hang all delivered strong performances, each adding depth to their characters. Their portrayals have left viewers eager for the upcoming broadcast.
After the script reading, Seo Kang Joon said, “I believe this project will offer viewers a range of emotions, including fun, excitement, and laughter.” Jin Ki Joo added, “Like MBC, a good friend to the viewers, I will work to bring more joy to the audience with each episode.” Kim Shin Rok shared her goals, saying, “I aim to be an actress viewers will truly enjoy watching.”
