Hwang Jung Eum's Agency Shares Update On Lawsuit Involving The Actress
Hwang Jung Eum’s agency has shared an update regarding the lawsuit involving the actress.
On January 15, Hwang Jung Eum’s agency Y1 Entertainment stated, “Ms. A has withdrawn her lawsuit against Hwang Jung Eum. The misunderstanding has been resolved.”
In April 2024, Hwang Jung Eum posted on Instagram, publicly targeting a non-celebrity woman (Mr. A) whom she suspected of being the mistress of her ex-husband Lee Young Don. Although Hwang Jung Eum quickly deleted her posts, they quickly spread on social media. It was later revealed that Ms. A had no connection to Hwang Jung Eum’s ex-husband.
Following the incident, Hwang Jung Eum issued an apology, stating, “I mistook an unrelated individual as the person my husband was having an affair with, shared their posts on my account, and used terms that could be insulting.”
Despite attempts by Hwang Jung Eum’s side to reach a settlement with Ms. A, the negotiations ultimately fell through, resulting in a criminal complaint being filed. Seven months after the lawsuit became public, the case has now been resolved with the withdrawal of the complaint.
