Cha Eun Woo Reflects On His Career, His Past Characters, And More

ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo recently joined ELLE Korea for a stunning pictorial and an insightful interview.

Discussing his upcoming Netflix drama “The WONDERfools,” he shared, “Every day, I become [my character] Woon Jung and put my heart into filming. You’ll be able to see a new side of me, so please look forward to it.”

When asked about the youthful characters he has portrayed, such as Kyung Suk in “My ID is Gangnam Beauty,” Su Ho in “True Beauty,” Seo Won in “A Good Day to Be a Dog,” and Sun Yool in “Wonderful World”—and how they have impacted him—he shared, “I think of them as friends who have accompanied me through my 20s. They are also the foundation that shaped the Cha Eun Woo of today. Since I usually spend more than half a year living as these characters while acting, their influence on me is significant. At the same time, I feel that they are also shaped by who I am as a person.”

Reflecting on his nine-year career, Cha Eun Woo shared, “I’ve worked hard to do my best with every opportunity I’ve been given, and it’s amazing to think how much time has passed. I definitely feel like I’m gaining valuable experience. I always go to sleep grateful for being able to end each day well, and I hope tomorrow will be the same. I always try to believe in myself and move forward flexibly.”
