Na In Woo is set to reveal a dramatic physical transformation in “Motel California”!
Based on Shim Yoon Seo’s 2019 novel “Home, Bitter Home,” MBC’s “Motel California” is a new romance drama about a woman named Ji Gang Hui (Lee Se Young), who was born and raised in a rural motel called Motel California. After escaping her hometown, she returns home after 12 years and winds up reconnecting with her first love and childhood friend Cheon Yeon Su (Na In Woo).

New stills showcasing Yeon Su’s intense dieting journey have captured attention. Cheon Yeon Su is a handsome veterinarian and the top choice for a son-in-law among farmers in Hanaeup. Devoted and patient, he has waited 12 years for his first love, Gang Hui. Affectionately called “Teddy Bear” by Gang Hui, he was even warned by her on the night she ran away at 20-years-old: “Teddy Bear, don’t lose weight.” However, in the newly released stills, Yeon Su is shown enduring tough training to lose weight, contradicting Gang Hui’s wishes. This raises curiosity as Yeon Su usually follows Gang Hui’s every word, prompting questions about what could have driven him to pursue such drastic weight loss.
Yeon Su’s dramatic transformation has certainly caught attention. His once chubby teddy bear look is now replaced by a toned physique and sharp jawline. In episodes 1 and 2, Gang Hui experiences a mix of excitement and surprise upon seeing the unrecognizable Yeon Su. As the adult Gang Hui and Yeon Su continue their 23-year-long story of first love, viewers are eager to see how their relationship will unfold.
In just the first week, Na In Woo has garnered attention with his standout performance. From his innocent charm as the 120 kilogram “Teddy Bear” to his gentlemanly appeal as Yeon Su, the handsome veterinarian, he captures hearts with his warm gaze and soothing voice, embodying the ultimate romantic.
The next episode of “Motel California” airs on January 17 at 9:50 p.m. KST!
