Choi Hyun Wook Transforms Into A Charismatic Department Head Hiding His Alter Ego In “My Dearest Nemesis”

tvN’s upcoming drama “My Dearest Nemesis” has released its first look at Choi Hyun Wook’s character!

Based on a popular webtoon, “My Dearest Nemesis” tells the love story of a man and woman who first meet via their online game characters during their school days then meet again in real life as boss and employee 16 years later.

Choi Hyun Wook plays Ban Ju Yeon, the perfectionist third-generation chaebol and head of Strategic Planning at Yongseong Department Store who hides his alter ego “Black Dragon” in order to be recognized as a proper heir. However, his peaceful office life takes a turbulent turn when Baek Su Jeong (Mun Ka Young) discovers his closely guarded secret.

The first set of stills captures Choi Hyun Wook as Ban Ju Yeon, the head of Strategic Planning at Yongseong Department Store. He exudes charisma, dressed in an impeccably tailored suit. Choi Hyun Wook is expected to portray a character who is cold, thorough, and exceptionally competent. His charisma and composed demeanor in the stills spark curiosity about how he will bring the character of Ban Ju Yeon to life.

In another set of stills, Ban Ju Yeon is captured as his alter ego, Black Dragon. He is seen enjoying his hobby in a room filled with figurines. Wearing latex gloves, as if to keep his precious collection spotless, he treats his figurines with more care than he would official documents, revealing his innocent and playful geeky side. Viewers are excited to see how Choi Hyun Wook will portray both the charismatic Ban Ju Yeon and his innocent and playful alter ego, Black Dragon. They are also curious to see how his office romance with Baek Su Jeong will develop.

The production team of “My Dearest Nemesis” shared, “Choi Hyun Wook, who has embodied the vibrant energy of youth in past tvN dramas, is returning with an office romance. He will perfectly bring out the contrasting charms of Ban Ju Yeon, from his charismatic side as a department head to his playful side as his alter ego Black Dragon.”

“My Dearest Nemesis” is set to premiere on February 17 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
