Watch: Choi Woo Shik And Park Bo Young Fall In Love Like A "Melo Movie" In Romantic New Teasers For Upcoming Drama
Netflix’s upcoming romance drama “Melo Movie” has shared its first look at the drama!
“Melo Movie” delves into the lives of young individuals who are used to always pretending to be fine in the face of hardships. Now, they aspire to experience love and fulfill their dreams yet find themselves drained and exhausted from the relentless hardships they endure.
The upcoming drama will be penned by Lee Na Eun, the scriptwriter behind “Our Beloved Summer,” and helmed by director Oh Choong Hwan of “Castaway Diva,” “Big Mouth,” “Start-Up,” “Hotel Del Luna,” and more.
Choi Woo Shik will play Ko Gyeom, a film enthusiast and actor who takes on extra roles but eventually becomes a film critic. Park Bo Young will play Kim Mu Bee, who used to hate films but becomes a film director.
The newly released poster features Ko Gyeom and Kim Mu Bee exchanging heart-fluttering gazes. Ko Gyeom can’t help but let out a smile, while Kim Mu Bee wears a complicated expression, highlighting the text between them that reads, “Will there be a happy ending?”
The teaser released alongside the poster begins with Kim Mu Bee’s resolve to create “an awesome melo movie” and depicts the fate-like first encounter between Kim Mu Bee and Ko Gyeom, who is drawn to Mu Bee immediately.
After hearing Kim Mu Bee’s name, Ko Gyeom remarks, “I’m a huge movie fan. But your name is literally ‘movie.'” Kim Mu Bee remains cold, saying, “Can you not talk to me?”
Nevertheless, the two continue to run into each other on the movie set. Ko Gyeom even confesses, “I like you. Am I not allowed to like you?” However, after exchanging a kiss, Kim Mu Bee unexpectedly reveals, “Ko Gyeom disappeared just like that.”
Eventually, Kim Mu Bee’s and Ko Gyeom’s paths cross again as film director and film critic. At a film screening, Ko Gyeom stands up to remark, “I enjoyed your movie, Director Kim. But I have one question. Is this really a melo movie?”
