GFRIEND's Yuju To Minimize Vocal Usage At Seoul Concerts Due To Health Reasons
GFRIEND’s Yuju will be minimizing her participation in the group’s upcoming 10th-anniversary concerts in Seoul due to health reasons.
On January 16, SOURCE MUSIC released the following announcement on Weverse:
Hello, this is Source Music.
We would like to inform you about GFRIEND’s Yuju’s health condition and her scheduled activities.
While recovering her condition after receiving treatment for the flu, Yuju experienced discomfort in her throat and visited the hospital for a check-up. She was diagnosed with vocal cord inflammation and was advised by medical professionals to refrain from using her voice, including singing, for the time being.
Following the medical advice, we have decided to minimize Yuju’s singing and use of voice during GFRIEND’s scheduled performances this week. As a result, Yuju will only participate in minimal singing and speaking to the extent possible during the GFRIEND 10th Anniversary concerts scheduled from January 17 to 19.
Future schedules will be determined based on Yuju’s recovery progress, ensuring that her participation does not strain her health.
We kindly ask for fans’ understanding, and we will prioritize the artist’s health above all else, doing our utmost to support her medical treatment and recovery.
Thank you.
GFRIEND, who debuted in 2015, released their 10th-anniversary special album “Season of Memories” on January 13. After kicking things off with three nights of concerts in Seoul, GFRIEND will be performing in Osaka on March 9, Yokohama on March 11, Hong Kong on March 14, and Taipei on March 29.
Wishing Yuju the speediest recovery!
