Han Suk Kyu And Bae Hyeon Seong In Talks To Star In New Comedy Drama
Han Suk Kyu and Bae Hyeon Seong may team up for a new drama!
On January 17, reports revealed that Han Suk Kyu is in talks to take on the lead role in the upcoming drama “The Boss Shin Project” (literal title), with Bae Hyeon Seong also slated to join.
In response to the reports, Han Suk Kyu’s agency Clover Company shared, “He has received an offer and is reviewing it,” while Bae Hyeon Seong’s agency Awesome ENT similarly stated that the actor is also currently reviewing his offer.
“The Boss Shin Project” is a comedic drama that follows the story of Shin, a man who takes it upon himself to mediate conflicts and assist people in seemingly unwinnable situations.
Han Suk Kyu is in talks to play the titular character Shin, a man running a small fried chicken restaurant in a quiet neighborhood while hiding a mysterious secret. The drama will focus on Shin’s inability to turn a blind eye to the troubles around him, leading him to resolve various local conflicts.
Bae Hyeon Seong has reportedly been offered the role of an intern at the chicken restaurant, whose rigid personality adds to the drama’s humor.
The drama is helmed by director Shin Kyung Soo, known for hits like “Tree With Deep Roots,” “Six Flying Dragons,” and “The First Responders.” The script is penned by Ban Ki Ri of tvN’s “Missing: The Other Side.” If confirmed, this will mark a reunion between Han Suk Kyu and director Shin Kyung Soo, who previously worked together on “Tree With Deep Roots” and “Secret Door.”
