"Motel California" Earns Its Highest Ratings Yet For 3rd Episode + "Love Scout" Hits New Friday High
MBC’s new drama “Motel California” is on the rise!
On January 17, the new romance drama starring Lee Se Young and Na In Woo achieved its highest viewership ratings yet. According to Nielsen Korea, the third episode of “Motel California” rose to an average nationwide rating of 5.2 percent, marking a new personal record for the show.
Meanwhile, SBS’s “Love Scout”—which airs in the same time slot as “Motel California”—earned its highest ratings to date for a Friday (when its ratings have typically been lower compared to Saturdays). The fifth episode of “Love Scout” took first place in its time slot across all channels with an average nationwide rating of 10.7 percent.
“Love Scout” was also the most-watched show of the entire week among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored an average rating of 3.9 percent.
