'Single's Inferno 4' And Former 'Produce 48' Contestant Lee Si An Sued By Her Agency

“Single’s Inferno 4” contestant Lee Si An has been sued by her agency for breach of contract.

On January 21, Leaders Entertainment announced that they had filed a lawsuit against Lee Si An, who is currently starring in the fourth season of Netflix’s popular dating show “Single’s Inferno.” The former idol trainee first entered the spotlight as a contestant on Mnet’s audition programs “Idol School” and “Produce 48” back in 2017 and 2018.

“Lee Si An has violated the terms and conditions of her exclusive contract,” stated the company. “We will be responding with legal action.”

Leaders Entertainment continued, “We have handled Lee Si An’s management starting from August 2023. In April of last year, when discussions [for Lee Si An] to appear in ‘Single’s Inferno 4’ were in full swing, we wrote up a supplemental agreement extending her contract period. The agreement extended her contract, which was originally scheduled to expire on October 25 of last year, for an additional one year and six months.

“After we’d gone through plenty of discussions with [Lee Si An] herself and her parents, Lee Si An signed a contract to appear on ‘Single’s Inferno 4’ in May, and she filmed the show in June of that same year. Right after completing filming, she suddenly announced in August that she wanted to terminate her exclusive contract. She conveyed to us through a representative that she would only continue her activities [under our management] until October 21.”

Leaders Entertainment added, “This is a violation of both her exclusive contract and the supplemental agreement extending her contract. Lee Si An’s objections lack evidence. We have secured a great deal of evidence and are currently in the process of taking legal action.”

“Disregarding her contract and unilaterally announcing her plans to halt activities after appearing on ‘Single’s Inferno 4’ is a deception of both our agency and the show’s production team,” the agency went on. “We will attempt to stop similar cases from reoccurring in the future.”
