7 Soothing K-Pop Songs To Keep You Focused At School

Now that we are well and truly in the spring semester, it’s time for a good study playlist to keep you focused! It can be hard to get back into the groove after a long break, but these K-pop tracks will help you up your game. It’s all-A’s this semester!

1. ZEROBASEONE – “Doctor! Doctor!”

With a surprisingly laid-back R&B groove coming from peppy boy group ZEROBASEONE, the vocals in this song do not pull any punches. The beat is present enough to keep you focused, but it’s not so overwhelming that you’ll be dancing in your seat instead of studying! It’s the perfect starter track to a study sesh.

2. LE SSERAFIM’s Huh Yunjin – “Jellyfish”

A song written and released by Huh Yunjin herself, this idol is proving that songwriters live in the idol industry too! This track feels like a gentle ocean wave – it has the right amount of repetition to be soothing to listen to, but Yunjin’s light but strong vocals keep the song afloat. Not too boring, not too crazy – it’s the perfect mix!

3. RIIZE – “Hug”

Right from the beginning of this track, you can tell that RIIZE is going to be serving vocals! The group’s latest single “Hug” (originally sung by TVXQ) has a gorgeous but simple piano backtrack that’s broken up by RIIZE’s signature jazz sound for that little bit of sparkle. It’ll keep you focused and on-task thanks to the simplicity, but the vocals won’t let your brain wander off!

4. GFRIEND – “Season of Memories”

If you’re the kind of person that might fall asleep instead of studying, try adding this song to your study playlist! The quick beat will keep you awake, but it’s not so intense that you won’t be able to concentrate on anything else. GFRIEND’s long-awaited comeback definitely proved that they haven’t lost any of their sparkle!

5. ENHYPEN – “XO (Only If You Say Yes)”

So let’s say that jazz and R&B aren’t really your vibe, but you still need a track to keep you on task. Meet “XO (Only If You Say Yes)” by ENHYPEN! It’s low-key but not boring, and the members did a great job of suiting their voices to this more electronic pop backing track. It’s one of those songs that’s comforting because there are no surprises – it’s a super steady track!

6. BABYMONSTER – “Really Like You”

Given the rap at the beginning of “Really Like You,” you might be tricked into thinking that this is going to be a hardcore hip hop song. Nope! The BABYMONSTER members show off their versatility by quickly transitioning into a sweet and soft song that doesn’t feel overwhelming in the slightest. Just make sure that it doesn’t get stuck in your head so that you’re singing instead of studying!

7. SEVENTEEN’s BSS – “CBZ (Prime Time)”

Is this song soothing or relaxing? Depends on your definition, but it’s definitely one thing – energizing! If you need to pump yourself up in order to conquer a massive assignment or a marathon study session, start with this song to raise your energy levels!
