"Resident Playbook" Confirms Premiere Plans
The wait is finally over—“Resident Playbook” has confirmed its long-awaited premiere!
On January 23, tvN unveiled its exciting drama lineup for 2025. Following the February release of “My Dearest Nemesis” and the March premieres of “The Potato Lab” and “Divorce Insurance” (literal title), tvN confirmed that “Resident Playbook,” a highly anticipated spin-off of “Hospital Playlist,” will debut in April.
Initially slated for May 2024 as the follow-up to “Queen of Tears,” the drama faced multiple delays. A prolonged medical residents’ strike and ensuing public resistance to medical-themed dramas pushed its release to the back half of 2024, and now to its finalized date this spring.
“Resident Playbook” depicts the realistic and relatable hospital lives and heartwarming friendships of obstetrics and gynecology residents at the Jongro branch of Yulje Medical Center. The series stars Go Youn Jung, Kang You Seok, Shin Si Ah, Han Ye Ji, and Jung Joon Won.
