Jung Soo Bin Joins Hyeri, Kang Hye Won, And Oh Woo Ri’s Clique After Transferring To Their School In “Friendly Rivalry”

The upcoming drama “Friendly Rivalry” has shared new stills featuring Hyeri, Jung Soo Bin, Kang Hye Won, and Oh Woo Ri!

Based on a popular webtoon, “Friendly Rivalry” is a mystery thriller set at Chaehwa Girls’ High School, an elite institution for the top 1 percent in South Korea, where cutthroat academic competition takes place between the students.

Hyeri stars as Yoo Jae Yi, Chaehwa’s top-ranked student and a figure of admiration who seems to have it all. With nothing left to desire, her world takes an unexpected turn when her interest is piqued by the transfer student Woo Seul Gi.

Jung Soo Bin stars as Woo Seul Gi, a transfer student who becomes entangled in her classmates’ hidden ambitions—and the secret behind the mysterious death of her father, a former college entrance exam question setter.

Kang Hye Won takes on the role of Joo Ye Ri, the queen of gossip at Chaehwa Girls’ High School who is obsessed with looks and luxury brands. Oh Woo Ri portrays Choi Kyung, the perpetual No. 2 student who struggles to gain recognition despite her efforts.

In the first still, Yoo Jae Yi displays special kindness toward Woo Seul Gi. Her gentle smile as she watches Seul Gi solving problems creates a warm and friendly atmosphere. However, in the next photo, Yoo Jae Yi is seen glaring coldly at Woo Seul Gi. The stark contrast between the two images leaves viewers curious about Jae Yi’s true feelings toward Seul Gi.

Another still shows the queen of gossip, Joo Ye Ri, gazing at Woo Seul Gi with curiosity. The arrival of a transfer student who captures Yoo Jae Yi’s attention becomes one of the most talked-about events at Chaehwa Girls’ High. As someone skilled at leveraging rumors and information to her advantage, it remains to be seen how Joo Ye Ri will deal with Seul Gi.

In the last image, Choi Kyung shows a hostile attitude toward Woo Seul Gi. A previously released trailer revealed that Choi Kyung is the most wary of Seul Gi joining the group formed by Yoo Jae Yi, Joo Ye Ri, and herself. Choi Kyung, who has never managed to surpass the unbeatable Yoo Jae Yi despite her best efforts, finds Seul Gi’s immediate rise to Jae Yi’s level after transferring especially unsettling. Viewers are left curious about the range of emotions Choi Kyung will experience due to Woo Seul Gi’s arrival.

“Friendly Rivalry” is set to premiere on February 10.
