BLACKPINK's Rosé Becomes 1st K-Pop Artist To Hit No. 1 On Billboard's Pop Radio Airplay Chart

BLACKPINK’s Rosé has achieved a historic feat on U.S. radio!

Billboard has announced that for the week ending on February 1, Rosé and Bruno Mars’ smash hit “APT.” has risen to No. 1 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States.

With this achievement, Rosé has become the first K-pop artist ever to reach No. 1 on the Pop Airplay chart.

Including “APT.”, only five songs by K-pop artists have entered the top 10 of the chart to date, and only two have entered the top five. PSY’s “Gangnam Style” (which peaked at No. 10) was the first, followed by BTS’s “Dynamite” (No. 5), BTS’s “Butter” (No. 7), and FIFTY FIFTY’s “Cupid” (No. 7).

Congratulations to Rosé on her exciting achievement!
