4 Fantastic And Endearing K-Dramas To Watch If You Enjoyed 'Who Is She!'

Some dramas have an incredible fantasy concept that makes you believe magic actually could exist in this world. Others move your heart due to their endearing story, life lessons, and overall romance. And there are some K-dramas that have all that and more. “Who Is She” is a great example of that. The story of Oh Doo Ri (Jung Zi So) and Daniel Han (Jung Jinyoug) showed us the way magic can sometimes bring second chances in life and give a brighter, fuller, and happier destiny than they ever thought possible. If you miss a show that will bring you all the feelings while also sprinkling some touches of fantasy, here are some K-dramas you definitely cannot miss.

1. “Lovely Runner

The K-drama that became a sensation in 2024, “Lovely Runner” tells the story of Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon), a young woman who experiences a near-death accident and loses her will to live. One day, she receives a fateful phone call from Eclipse’s main vocalist Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok), and he ignites her strength to keep on living. 10 years later, Sol and Sun Jae meet again by chance, only to be separated again when it is announced that Sun Jae has apparently taken his own life. In despair, Sol looks out for him, and on a cold night, she travels back in time to her high school years, where she realizes their fate has been tied for a long time in more than one way.

Sol and Sun Jae’s story moves you to the core by showing us how far one generous and selfless heart can go to protect the person they love. 2. “The Beauty Inside

Based on the homonymous film, “The Beauty Inside” is a 2018 K-drama that gives a different touch to the original story. Han Se Gye (Seo Hyun Jin) is a beautiful and popular actress who suffers from a strange condition in which she changes her whole appearance once a month. Unable to control how she will look next or when she will change, she has to find all types of excuses and tricks to hide her secret from the world. The only people she has been able to trust so far are her good friends Yoo Woo Mi (Moon Ji In) and Ryu Eun Ho (Ahn Jae Hyun).

Se Gye’s life has a turning point when she meets Seo Do Jae (Lee Min Ki), a successful businessman who has a secret of his own: he has prosopagnosia (the inability to recognize other people’s faces). Forced to be highly alert around everyone, he develops a knack for identifying people solely based on their personality rather than their looks. Surprisingly, this allows him to recognize Se Gye despite her changes. As they spend more time together, they not only start to have mutual feelings but change their whole vision of their lives and the fate that has brought them together to find their true inner beauty.

3. “A Good Day to Be a Dog

Some people say your past defines your present, but what if it isn’t your past but one of your ancestor’s doings that determines your current circumstances? That is exactly what happens to Han Hae Na (Park Gyu Young). On the outside, she looks like any other young teacher, pretty and friendly. And although she has dated people before, all her relationships fail because she cannot kiss just anybody. That is because through generations her family has carried a curse that makes them turn into dogs whenever they kiss another person, and they can only return to their human form once the same person kisses them as a dog.

This heavy burden has made Hae Na lose all her trust in love until she meets Lee Bo Kyum (Lee Hyun Woo). However, the night she is determined to confess to him, she ends up accidentally kissing Jin Seo Won (Cha Eun Woo). She tries to figure out how to break her curse without him finding out. The only problem? Seo Won has a deep trauma that makes him terrified of dogs. Ultimately, what looks like a terrible curse for Hae Na and her family is what guides her into the path to her destiny. If you are looking for a story full of fantasy, cute romance, and fated love, and also you love puppies, this is the one for you.
