Lee Sung Min In Talks To Appear In New Drama "Get Schooled"

Lee Sung Min may be joining the upcoming drama “Get Schooled” (“True Education”).

On January 31, Lee Sung Min’s agency HODU & U Entertainment announced, “Lee Sung Min is currently in talks to appear in ‘Get Schooled,’ and the outlook is favorable.”

Kim Moo Yeol has been confirmed to star in the upcoming drama, while Jin Ki Joo and Block B’s P.O are currently also in talks to appear.

Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Get Schooled” centers on the fictional Teacher’s Rights Protection Agency, a government body created to restore teacher authority.

Although the webtoon on which the drama is based previously came under fire for misogyny, racism, and its depiction of physical violence, director Hong Jong Chan has assured viewers that he is aware of the issues with the original work and will be addressing them in his adaptation.

“I’m aware of the recent criticism and concerns regarding certain episodes from the original webtoon,” said the director. “I will approach [the drama] with a sense of responsibility and do my utmost to create the drama from a viewpoint that has removed such impurities. Please look kindly upon the drama ‘Get Schooled.’”
