MBC’s “Motel California” has released new stills ahead of tonight’s episode!
Based on Shim Yoon Seo’s 2019 novel “Home, Bitter Home,” “Motel California” is a romance drama about a woman named Ji Kang Hee (Lee Se Young), who was born and raised in a rural motel called Motel California. After escaping her hometown, she returns home after 12 years and winds up reconnecting with her first love and childhood friend Cheon Yeon Soo (Na In Woo).
The new stills capture Ji Kang Hee’s expertise in her craft. In the released images, Kang Hee is fully immersed in woodworking, dressed in work attire as she leads a construction site with confidence. Having built her career from the ground up purely through her skills—not connections—she commands the scene with her professionalism.
One striking image shows Kang Hee effortlessly handling an electric saw nearly as big as herself, cutting through wood with precision. Her fearless approach and undeniable charisma exude “girl crush” energy, offering a fresh side to her character beyond her usual charm and bold personality.
