MBC’s “Motel California” has unveiled a new making-of video!

Based on Shim Yoon Seo’s 2019 novel “Home, Bitter Home,” “Motel California” is a romance drama about a woman named Ji Kang Hee (Lee Se Young), who was born and raised in a rural motel called Motel California. After escaping her hometown, she returns home after 12 years and winds up reconnecting with her first love and childhood friend Cheon Yeon Soo (Na In Woo).

The making-of video begins with the actors discussing with the director over how to portray the kiss scene. Na In Woo gets playful with the cushions on the couch, but he also thoughtfully helps adjust them behind Lee Se Young to make her comfortable.

In another scene of Ji Kang Hee and Cheon Yeon Soo’s date, the cast and crew maintain high energy despite the cold weather. Na In Woo and Lee Se Young prepare to take photo booth photos by trying on different accessories. Na In Woo asks Lee Se Young what she thinks of his tiara, which Lee Se Young and the director happily approve of. The two pose adorably in front of the camera, showcasing their characters’ sweet on-screen chemistry.
