Lee Jae Wook’s Disappearance Shakes Jo Bo Ah, Jung Ga Ram, And More In New Historical Romance “Dear Hongrang”

Netflix’s upcoming drama “Dear Hongrang” has unveiled its first look!

Directed by Kim Hong Seon, known for “Voice,” and written by Kim Jin Ah of “Dr. Brain,” “Dear Hongrang” is a mystery romance set in the Joseon dynasty. The story follows the disappearance of Hong Rang (Lee Jae Wook), the son of a powerful merchant family. His step-sister, Jae Yi (Jo Bo Ah), who has spent years searching for him, and Hong Rang , who returns with a hidden secret, begin to experience emotions that may either be sibling love or romantic attraction.

Based on the novel of the same name, the drama offers a fresh take on traditional period stories with its intriguing characters and unique plot. The story begins with the return of the missing heir, who reappears at 20 after vanishing at age eight. As the drama unfolds, it mixes romance, mystery, and complex relationships while characters face cruel fates shaped by their secret ambitions.
