Kim Go Eun Reunites With Park Ji Hyun As She Faces Terminal Cancer In Upcoming Drama “You And Everything Else”

Netflix’s upcoming original series “You and Everything Else” has unveiled its first look of Kim Go Eun and Park Ji Hyun!

“You and Everything Else” tells the story of two lifelong friends, Eun Joong (Kim Go Eun) and Sang Yeon (Park Ji Hyun), whose relationship is filled with love, admiration, jealousy, and even hatred. Their lives are deeply intertwined, marked by emotional highs and lows.

Kim Go Eun, known for her standout performances in “Exhuma” and “Yumi’s Cells,” plays Ryu Eun Joong, a seemingly ordinary character with a unique charm that draws people in through her honesty and authenticity.

Park Ji Hyun, recognized for her roles in “Do You Like Brahms?” and “Reborn Rich,” portrays Cheon Sang Yeon, Eun Joong’s best friend and rival. Park Ji Hyun is expected to bring a fresh and captivating interpretation to the role.

During their elementary school years, Eun Joong meets Sang Yeon, who appears to have it all—wealth and talent—sparking both admiration and jealousy in Eun Joong. Despite these mixed emotions, they become best friends. Their bond, filled with love and animosity, endures through multiple separations and reunions, spanning their teens, 20s, and 30s. At 42, they find themselves reunited once again. Eun Joong, now a screenwriter, meets Sang Yeon, a successful filmmaker, who asks her to join her as she faces terminal cancer and plans her death with dignity. Their story revisits their shared journey, exploring how they’ve deeply influenced each other’s lives, from childhood to adulthood, with a focus on their enduring connection.

Kim Gun Woo, who gained recognition for his role in “The Glory,” will play Kim Sang Hak, a senior in the university photography club that both Eun Joong and Sang Yeon belong to. Sang Hak is charming, well-liked by everyone, and passionate about photography. He deeply cares for Eun Joong, becoming an important figure in both her and Sang Yeon’s lives as Eun Joong’s boyfriend and Sang Yeon’s club senior.

Directed by Jo Young Min, praised for his work on “Do You Like Brahms?” and “The Interest of Love,” and written by Song Hye Jin, who is celebrated for her emotional depth in “The Smile Has Left Your Eyes,” the series has generated high anticipation.

“You and Everything Else” is set to air in the third quarter of 2025.
