Sooyoung And Gong Myung's New Rom-Com Drama Confirms Cast

Sooyoung, Gong Myung, Kim Sung Ryung, Kim Sang Ho, and Jo Yoon Hee will be starring in the upcoming drama “Please Don’t Drink” (literal title)!

“Please Don’t Drink” is a rom-com about a woman who considers herself to be a reasonable drinker. She reunites with a health center doctor, who is even harder to quit than alcohol, and takes on the challenge of quitting alcohol. The drama will be directed by Jang Yoo Jung of “Honest Candidate” and written by Myung Su Hyun and Jeon Ji Hyun, the creators behind the hit series “Ugly Miss Young Ae.”

The series boasts a stellar cast, including Sooyoung, Gong Myung, Kim Sung Ryung, Kim Sang Ho, and Jo Yoon Hee.

Sooyoung stars as Han Geum Joo, a skilled car mechanic working at the country’s top automobile company. Although Han Geum Joo excels in both her career and social life, the stigma of being labeled an alcoholic pushes her to challenge herself by giving up alcohol for the first time in her life.

Gong Myung plays Seo Eui Jun, the head of Bocheon Public Health Center. He is admired for his good looks, impressive skills, and great personality. After a successful career as a specialist at a prestigious university hospital in Seoul, Seo Eui Jun unexpectedly returns to his hometown. Unlike his close friend Han Geum Joo, he strongly dislikes alcohol.

Kim Sung Ryung takes on the role of Kim Gwang Ok, Han Geum Joo’s mother and the only member of the family who has sworn off drinking. In Bocheon Village, she is seen as a tough yet caring elder-sister figure.

Kim Sang Ho plays Han Jeong Su, Han Geum Joo’s father, a devoted husband and father who runs a pension. His cheerful and sociable nature makes him a beloved figure in the village.

Jo Yoon Hee will play Han Hyun Joo, Geum Joo’s older sister, who helps run the family pension with their parents. She finds solace in alcohol after a long day of taking care of her twins.
