"Hitman 2" Becomes First Korean Film Of 2025 To Surpass 2 Million Moviegoers
The action comedy film “Hitman 2” has surpassed 2 million moviegoers!
On February 4, the Korean Film Council announced that as of the day before (February 3), “Hitman 2” had officially reached a total of 2,011,039 moviegoers.
The film reached this milestone on its 13th day of release, making it the first movie of the year to surpass 2 million moviegoers.
A sequel to the 2020 hit film “Hitman: Agent Jun,” Hitman 2 is an action-comedy about Jun (Kwon Sang Woo), a once-famous webtoon author who has fallen from grace and is now mocked for his “braindead” plot. When a terrorist attack mimics his latest ambitious webtoon, Jun is falsely accused of being a criminal overnight.
The film also stars Jung Joon Ho, Lee Yi Kyung, Hwang Woo Seul Hye, Lee Ji Won, and Kim Sung Oh.
