BLACKPINK’s Jisoo And Park Jung Min Lead Their Own Squads To Survive Zombie-Infested Seoul In “Newtopia”

Coupang Play’s upcoming drama “Newtopia” has dropped striking character posters, offering a glimpse at Jae Yoon and Young Joo’s teams!

“Newtopia” tells the story of Jae Yoon (Park Jung Min), who is serving in the military, and his girlfriend Young Joo (BLACKPINK’s Jisoo) as they race through a zombie-infested Seoul to find each other.

The newly released posters vividly capture the essence and style of each character as they fight for survival. Soldier Jae Yoon, covered in blood and wide-eyed with shock, grips a scraper tightly as he battles zombies without rest. Meanwhile, his girlfriend Young Joo is armed with a chainsaw and unwavering determination, refusing to let go of hope as she fights her way toward him.

The posters also introduce the diverse members of both Jae Yoon’s and Young Joo’s teams. Jae Yoon’s junior, Private Ra In Ho (Im Seong Jae), is visibly terrified, while Aaron Park (Kim Jun Han), the fiery manager of the hotel where Jae Yoon’s unit is stationed, looks ready to charge at the zombies invading his establishment. With their starkly different personalities, viewers are left wondering how these characters will work together to survive in a zombie-infested tower.

On Young Joo’s side, her college senior Jin Wook (Kang Young Seok) carries a golf club as his weapon of choice, while Alex (Lee Hak Joo), a level-headed video game company CEO, tries to maintain his composure amid the chaos. Adding a dose of humor is a perpetually drunk student retaking his college entrance exams (Tang Joon Sang), who, despite the dire situation, wears a blissful smile. With this unlikely mix of characters, anticipation is high for their unpredictable teamwork and chemistry.
