Here are four of the best heartwarming lines from Love Scout:

“The road remembers everything.”

Ji Yun offers a scouting opportunity to star chef Jung Won (Heo Joon Suk), but his condition is that his long-time sous chef Hye In (Park Yoo Rim) must move with him. Afraid of standing alone, Hye In also wishes to remain in Jung Won’s shadow. However, Ji Yun thinks differently.

Although Hye In’s résumé isn’t flashy, it reflects years of hard work and dedication to culinary research. Ji Yun believes that clinging to the role of Jung Won’s sous chef, even while carrying the baggage of unfounded rumors, is not beneficial for either of them.

So, Ji Yun hires Jung Won alone and encourages Hye In to carve out her own name by offering her a position as a food development researcher—a role tailored to her passion for cooking without the pressures of the kitchen. When Hye In expresses her uncertainty, Ji Yun reassures her warmly, “The road remembers everything. You’ve worked so hard to get here. You’ll be able to show your full potential there.”

This message not only comforted Hye In but also resonated with countless others who, despite their hard work, struggle with self-doubt.

“You did so well.”

Both Ji Yun and Eun Ho grew up on their own, without the protection of adults. Ji Yun lost her mother, leaving her alone with her father—until she lost him too in a tragic fire. Eun Ho, neglected without proper parental care, became accustomed to surviving on his own. His exceptional cooking skills and household expertise weren’t just talents—they were survival skills honed over 30 years.

Recognizing Eun Ho’s difficult past, Ji Yun gently reassures him, “You grew up well. You worked so hard.” In return, Eun Ho stamps Ji Yun’s hand with his daughter Byul’s (Ki So You’s) stamp of approval, saying, “You did so well.”

These simple yet profound words of comfort, exchanged between two people who endured life alone, struck a deep chord with viewers.

“So what if you fall? I’ll catch you” & “You don’t have to be perfect. No matter what, I’ll be by your side.”

Ji Yun has always lived like she’s at war, striving for perfection. Skipping meals became second nature, and she sustained herself on coffee to endure the industry’s intense demands. Carrying deep emotional wounds, she clung to perfection as a shield against further pain.

Then Eun Ho, warm, kind, and unwavering, enters her life. Watching over Ji Yun attentively, he can’t help but feel for her. When Ji Yun, burdened by fear, worries that everything will collapse if she falters even slightly, Eun Ho reassures her, saying, “So what if you fall? You can always get back up. I’ll catch you.”

Eun Ho’s unwavering support continues even when investor Chairman Woo (Jo Seung Yeon) deliberately obstructs Ji Yun for not yielding to his demands. He reassures her, “There’s no one else who could lead Peoplez like you.” When Ji Yun faces humiliation, he stands by her side, saying, “You don’t have to be perfect. Even if you feel like a mess, it’s okay. No matter what, I’ll be by your side.”

His steadfast words provided a moment of respite, not only for Ji Yun but also for viewers exhausted by their own battles.
