Jo Min Soo Dives Into The Intense World Of Education For Her Granddaughter In New Drama
The upcoming drama “Riding Life” (literal translation) has offered the first look of Jo Min Soo’s character!
“Riding Life” follows working mom Lee Jung Eun (Jeon Hye Jin), who asks her mother, Yoon Ji Ah (Jo Min Soo), to give her daughter rides to academies as the girl prepares for the “7-year-old exam” (an entrance test for top English-language academies). Set in the cutthroat education hub of Daechi district, the drama takes a humorous yet thought-provoking look at the intense world of early childhood education and the pressures of private tutoring.
The first stills of Jo Min Soo showcase “beginner rider” Yoon Ji Ah as she navigates the world of giving rides. With a neatly strapped backpack, Ji Ah is seen entering an academy, hinting at the impact she will have on the competitive education scene in the Daechi district.
Another still below highlights Ji Ah’s warm smile as a children’s art therapist. While Ji Ah is someone who deeply understands children’s emotions, the story will also touch on her past struggles, where she failed to truly see her own daughter Jung Eun’s feelings, delivering a heartfelt message.
Jo Min Soo described her character, saying, “Ji Ah carries a sense of justice and is someone who is ready to love others. The dilemmas she faces through giving rides will pose questions to the viewers.”
The production team remarked, “Jo Min Soo delicately brought Ji Ah’s character to life, infused with the weight of life’s struggles. Please look forward to Jo Min Soo’s powerful and skillful performance.”
“Riding Life” is set to premiere on March 3 at 10 p.m. KST. Stay tuned!
