Watch: GOT7's Jinyoung Is Determined To Help Roh Jeong Eui Get Her Life Back In New Teaser For "The Witch"

Channel A has shared a new sneak peek of its upcoming drama “The Witch”!

Based on “Moving” author Kang Full’s webtoon of the same name, “The Witch” is a mystery romance about a woman who distances herself from the world due to tragedy and a man who refuses to give up on her.

Roh Jeong Eui stars as Park Mi Jeong, a woman who was called a “witch” and chased away from her village after all the men who fell in love with her died. GOT7’s Jinyoung will play Lee Dong Jin, a man who harbored an unrequited love for Mi Jeong in high school and tries to save her from the mysterious pattern of death that follows her.

The newly released teaser begins with Dong Jin unexpectedly crossing paths with Mi Jeong 10 years after he last saw her. Deciding that it must be fate, Dong Jin declares, “There must be a reason why you and I met again after all this time.”

Mi Jeong also remembers Dong Jin from high school, recalling, “Someone was looking this way. And I saw that face again 10 years later.” Dong Jin continues, “Because when you’re supposed to meet someone, you wind up meeting them eventually, no matter what.”

The teaser then flashes back to Mi Jeong’s painful past, when she was labeled a “witch” as a teenager due to the mysterious deaths of her father and several of her male classmates. Scared by the death that follows her wherever she goes, Mi Jeong wonders, “Is there a way for me to live life without meeting people?”

Dong Jin, who is described as the “one and only person” who stayed by Mi Jeong’s side when there was no one else beside her, begins investigating this strange “curse” of death that plagues her. “Do you think witches exist?” he asks. As Mi Jeong breaks down in tears, she says in voice-over, “Sometimes, I get so tired.”

Determined to save her, Dong Jin promises, “I’m going to find a way no matter what. I’m going to get her back the everyday life she lost.” The teaser ends with Mi Jeong realizing, “So it was you, Lee Dong Jin.”
