Choi Hyun Wook Lets Loose At A Rock Concert In Upcoming Drama “My Dearest Nemesis”
Upcoming drama “My Dearest Nemesis” has shared new stills of Choi Hyun Wook!
Based on a popular webtoon, “My Dearest Nemesis” tells the love story of a man and woman who first meet via their online game characters during their school days then meet again in real life as boss and employee 16 years later.
Choi Hyun Wook plays Ban Ju Yeon, the perfectionist third-generation chaebol and head of Strategic Planning at Yongseong Department Store who hides his alter ego “Black Dragon” in order to be recognized as a proper heir. However, his peaceful office life takes a turbulent turn when Baek Su Jeong (Mun Ka Young) discovers his closely guarded secret.
The newly released stills capture Ban Ju Yeon fully unleashing his “Black Dragon” persona. In stark contrast to his usual poised and meticulous image as a chaebol heir, Ju Yeon is seen immersed in a rock concert, surrounded by neon lights and an energetic crowd waving glow sticks.
Dressed in a bandana and black leather jacket, he fully embodies the spirit of rock from head to toe. Striking a classic rock and roll hand gesture, he loses himself in the music, owning the stage as if it were his own. This unexpected side of him, so different from his serious role as a department store executive, raises curiosity about his double life in the drama.
The production team teased, “In the drama, Choi Hyun Wook flawlessly portrays a cold and meticulous director who hides his otaku persona—obsessed with comic books, figurines, and rock music. Viewers can look forward to seeing how Baek Su Jeong uncovers his secret and how Ban Ju Yeon switches between his two personas.”
“My Dearest Nemesis” premieres on February 17 at 8:50 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki.
