Cha Joo Young, Lee Hyun Wook, And Lee Yi Dam Bid Farewell To “The Queen Who Crowns” With Final Remarks

Cha Joo Young, Lee Hyun Wook, and Lee Yi Dam have shared their heartfelt thoughts as “The Queen Who Crowns” comes to an end.

“The Queen Who Crowns” tells the story of the tumultuous life of Queen Won Gyeong (Cha Joo Young), a kingmaker who dreamed of a new world in the early days of the Joseon dynasty and helped her husband, Lee Bang Won (Lee Hyun Wook), a king with whom she shared the power of the throne. Although she was described in historical records only as “King Taejong’s wife” or “Mrs. Min” without her full name, the drama reimagines history from the perspective of Queen Won Gyeong, who lived an independent life without losing herself in spite of devastating betrayals and harsh reality.

As the series comes to a close, Cha Joo Young, Lee Hyun Wook, and Lee Yi Dam took a moment to express their gratitude to the viewers who have supported the drama.

Reflecting on her transformative role, Cha Joo Young shared, “It was a challenging adventure to try to condense so many events and stories into a rather short drama.” She continued, “Bringing someone’s life to the screen in itself was an immense challenge. Won Gyeong was my love and my sorrow.”

Lee Hyun Wook, who delivered a powerful performance as King Taejong Lee Bang Won, also expressed his gratitude, stating, “I sincerely thank everyone who has loved and watched ‘The Queen Who Crowns.'”
