Channel A’s upcoming drama “The Witch” has unveiled an intriguing new teaser video ahead of its premiere!
Based on “Moving” author Kang Full’s webtoon, “The Witch” is a mystery romance that follows the story of Mi Jeong (Roh Jeong Eui), a woman known as the “witch” who was chased away from a village after all the men who fell in love with her died, and Dong Jin (GOT7’s Jinyoung), a man who tries to rescue her from the mysterious pattern of death.
The newly released teaser begins with chilling scenes of several men, either injured or dying, as victims of accidents or murders. What makes these incidents even more unsettling is that they all seem to occur within Mi Jeong’s proximity. As Dong Jin’s voice narrates, “There are people who seem cursed by the law of death as if it’s following them,” rumors about Mi Jeong’s connection to the deaths swirl among her peers. The teaser then shows Mi Jeong, clearly devastated and overwhelmed, grappling with the stigma of being labeled a witch.
Despite the high likelihood of danger around her, Dong Jin closely follows Mi Jeong, trying to uncover the truth behind the strange phenomenon. In a moment of despair, Mi Jeong asks, “Can’t I just live without encountering people?” Dong Jin responds firmly, “Wouldn’t it be possible to break free from it if we understand the law of death?” These lines heighten the mysterious vibe, sparking curiosity about how Dong Jin might help Mi Jeong escape the cycle of misfortune and the harsh judgment she faces.
