Based on a popular webtoon, “Friendly Rivalry” is a mystery thriller set at Chaehwa Girls’ High School, an elite institution for the top 1 percent in South Korea, where cutthroat academic competition takes place between the students. Chung Su Bin stars as Woo Seul Gi, a transfer student who becomes entangled in her classmates’ hidden ambitions—and the secret behind the mysterious death of her father, a former college entrance exam question setter.

In episode 4, Seul Gi runs for class president at Jae Yi’s suggestion. The position is a key credential that influences students’ academic records and college admissions. Model student Choi Kyung (Oh Woo Ri) also enters the race, seizing the opportunity. However, the election ignites a major conflict between Seul Gi and Kyung. As tensions escalate, even Jae Yi—who first encouraged Seul Gi to run—gets involved, adding to the suspense.

Later, Jae Yi invites Seul Gi to her home. The two sit side by side in a room illuminated by blue light, with fish decorations on the walls, creating an underwater-like atmosphere. The setting adds a layer of intrigue to their encounter.

Initially wary of Jae Yi, Seul Gi gradually lets her guard down as they open up to each other. As the night unfolds, the subtle yet growing emotional tension between them deepens, heightening anticipation for what is to come in the upcoming episode.

Plus, hidden details behind key scenes—previously shown in previews and highlight clips—will be unveiled, drawing viewers in.
