Watch: Park Bo Young Is Bothered Yet Slowly Drawn To Choi Woo Shik's Constant Presence In New 'Melo Movie' Preview

Netflix’s upcoming drama “Melo Movie” has released an intriguing preview video ahead of its premiere!

“Melo Movie” is a romance drama about the journey of four young people yearning for love and pursuing their dreams in the face of relentless hardships. Despite their personal struggles, they find inspiration and solace in one another while overcoming their own traumas.

Choi Woo Shik will star as Ko Gyeom, an aspiring actor-turned-film critic who falls in love with Kim Mu Bee (Park Bo Young) at first sight. Mu Bee, whose name sounds like “movie” in Korean, is a film director who wound up in the industry due to her love-hate relationship with her cinephile father, who always put film before her.

The newly released video starts with Mu Bee walking down a filming set, where she trips over Ko Gyeom, who is lying on the ground as an extra with bloodstain makeup. When she questions him, “Did you just try to trip me up?” Ko Gyeom casually responds, “At least I didn’t chat you up.” He then tries to ask her out, but Mu Bee turns him down, saying she’s busy. Ko Gyeom’s pursuit of her continues, while Mu Bee persistently rejects him—though there’s an underlying hint that she can’t entirely ignore him. Their playful back-and-forth suggests that tantalizing romance may follow, making viewers’ hearts flutter.

In another scene, Mu Bee is seen having lunch alone during a break in filming. As she looks around, it’s clear that Ko Gyeom’s presence bothers her. However, when she sits down to eat, the person sitting across her raises his head, revealing none other than Ko Gyeom—this time with a beard, playing yet another extra character. Despite Mu Bee’s continuous annoyance, Ko Gyeom persistently approaches her in a cute, caring way.

Later in the video, Mu Bee is returning home at night when she hears the sound of someone dragging a bike. Turning around, she finds Ko Gyeom again, who has followed her out of concern for her safety in the late hour. When Mu Bee shows him a stun gun, Ko Gyeom sighs in disappointment and says, “Do you always come this prepared just so you can avoid asking for help?” Mu Bee responds, “I’ll let you know when I really need help,” which makes Ko Gyeom finally turn away.

The dynamic of their developing relationship—and whether Ko Gyeom will ever land a date with Mu Bee—remains to be seen in the upcoming drama.
