Ju Ji Hoon Squabbles With Yoon Bak In "The Witch" Cameo
Upcoming drama “The Witch” has shared a sneak peek of Ju Ji Hoon’s special appearance!
Based on “Moving” author Kang Full’s webtoon of the same name, “The Witch” is a new mystery romance about a woman who distances herself from the world due to tragedy and a man who refuses to give up on her.
Roh Jeong Eui will star as Park Mi Jeong, a woman who was called a “witch” and chased away from her village after all the men who fell in love with her died. GOT7’s Jinyoung will play Lee Dong Jin, a man who harbored an unrequited love for Mi Jeong in high school and tries to save her from the mysterious pattern of death that follows her.
Newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming premiere capture Ju Ji Hoon at the police station, looking slightly unkempt in a blue tracksuit and messy hair. Ju Ji Hoon points a seemingly angry finger at Yoon Pak, who is dressed like an office worker in a tidy white shirt.
Yoon Bak wears a frown as he glares back at Ju Ji Hoon with his arms crossed, while detective Hyun Bong Sik appears to be trying to mediate a fight between the two men.
Director Kim Tae Kyun teased, “This scene will reveal the outstanding abilities of data miner Dong Jin, who is renowned as the greatest in his field.”
Meanwhile, the drama’s production team remarked, “All of director Kim Tae Kyun’s ‘golden’ connections—including Ju Ji Hoon, with whom he forged a relationship while working together on the film ‘Dark Figure of Crime’—came together for ‘The Witch.’”
“Ju Ji Hoon, Yoon Bak, Hyun Bong Sik, and Kim Hye Ok all lit up the first episode [of ‘The Witch’] with special appearances,” they continued. “We’re grateful to the actors who readily agreed to these brief appearances and cheerfully displayed their acting talent. In every single episode, you’ll be able to see welcome faces pop up in unexpected scenes. It’ll be fun to look for them as you watch the drama.”
The first episode of “The Witch” airs on February 15 at 9:10 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki.
