“My Dearest Nemesis” Cast Picks Key Reasons To Look Forward To The Drama
The stars of tvN’s upcoming drama “My Dearest Nemesis” have shared their thoughts on what viewers can look forward to in the drama!
Based on a popular webtoon, “My Dearest Nemesis” tells the love story of a man and woman who first meet via their online game characters during their school days, then meet again in real life as boss and employee 16 years later.
Ahead of the drama’s premiere, cast members Mun Ka Young, Choi Hyun Wook, and Im Se Mi each named key points viewers should anticipate in the show.
Mun Ka Young shared, “Anyone who has ever been deeply into a hobby or has their own embarrassing past will find this story relatable. Even during filming, Choi Hyun Wook and I laughed a lot on set. There are also plenty of heart-fluttering moments, so you can definitely look forward to it.”
The drama is described as a production that seamlessly blends comedy, romance, fantasy, acting, chemistry, and visuals. The previously released teasers showcased a dynamic directorial approach that vividly recreated the online gaming world, with Mun Ka Young, Choi Hyun Wook, Im Se Mi, and more seamlessly embodying their roles.
Mun Ka Young revealed, “Choi Hyun Wook and I even attended action school together for action scenes,” while Choi Hyun Wook shared, “I performed sword-fighting scenes, and as I gained confidence, I put in even more effort. At one point, my adrenaline was so high that I ended up shouting in excitement.”
The energetic and heart-fluttering synergy between Mun Ka Young, Choi Hyun Wook, Im Se Mi, and Kwak Si Yang is expected to add excitement to the drama. Each actor perfectly fits their role, delivering natural and engaging performances. Mun Ka Young is set to once again redefine her career with a new iconic character. Meanwhile, Choi Hyun Wook will perfectly capture the striking contrast between Ban Ju Yeon, the young and charismatic director, and his alter ego, “Black Dragon.”
Im Se Mi will undergo an acting transformation in her role as Seo Ha Jin, who, after dating her first love for 10 years and marrying him, gets divorced within a year and embarks on a new chapter in life. Kwak Si Yang plays Kim Shin Won, the warmhearted chief designer of Yongseong Department Store, who has yet to experience his first love. Im Se Mi teased, “While Mun Ka Young and Choi Hyun Wook’s romance is soft and sweet, mine with Kwak Si Yang is bold, mature, and spicy—like a passionate adult romance,” building excitement for the contrasting love stories within the drama.
“My Dearest Nemesis” is set to premiere on February 17 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
