Kim Min Ha Confirmed To Star Alongside Lee Junho In New Drama

It’s official—Kim Min Ha will be starring in a new drama with Lee Junho!

tvN’s upcoming drama “Typhoon Company” (literal title) follows the journey of CEO Kang Tae Poong (Lee Junho) struggling to protect Typhoon Company, the small business left by his father, as he navigates the trials of the IMF crisis in 1997. The fierce story of survival will deliver heartfelt messages of comfort and courage to those facing challenges today.

The drama will be helmed by director Lee Na Jung of “Fight My Way,” “Love Alarm,” “Mine,” “See You in My 19th Life,” and more.

Lee Junho, who starred in numerous hit projects including “The Red Sleeve” and “King the Land,” will take on the role of Kang Tae Poong, depicting the growth of a young CEO. Kang Tae Poong was born from wealthy parents in Apgujeong, but due to the 1997 IMF crisis, the company his father cherished as much as his own family collapsed. Kang Tae Poong becomes the CEO in order to save Typhoon Company. Although immature at first, Kang Tae Poong matures and become a “true adult” while facing hurdles together with the people around him, showcasing warmth, a strong sense of responsibility, the mindset to take on challenges, and diligence.

Kim Min Ha, who impressed global audiences through “Pachinko,” will portray Oh Mi Seon, the bookkeeper of Typhoon Company. As the responsible and resourceful eldest daughter of her family, Oh Mi Seon carries the weight of her entire family on her shoulders. Oh Mi Seon is in charge of everything from cleaning to organizing receipts at Typhoon Company. With her perseverance and hard work, Oh Mi Seon aims to build a successful career. She finally feels hope when she meets Kang Tae Poong, who tries to save the company despite the IMF crisis. A highlight of the drama will be the chemistry between between Oh Mi Seon and Kang Tae Poong as they face the IMF crisis together.

The production team asked viewers to anticipate the drama, sharing, “In the second half of 2025, we will greet viewers with a project that can share courage and hopeful energy to overcome any crisis. Please show lots of interest.”
