K-Pop Artists Sweep 9 Of Top 10 Spots On IFPI's Global Album Sales Chart For 2024

The IFPI has released its year-end Global Album Sales Chart for 2024—and nine of this year’s top 10 spots went to K-pop artists!

On February 18 local time, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)—a non-profit organization that represents the music recording industry worldwide—revealed its annual rankings of last year’s best-selling albums across global physical sales and digital downloads.

With the exception of Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department,” all of the top 10 albums for 2024 were by K-pop artists. ENHYPEN’s “ROMANCE : UNTOLD” ranked No. 2 on the year-end chart, while SEVENTEEN and Stray Kids both made the top 10 twice. SEVENTEEN claimed No. 3 and No. 4 with “SPILL THE FEELS” and “17 IS RIGHT HERE” respectively, while Stray Kids took No. 5 and No. 6 with “ATE” and “合 (HOP).”

IVE’s “IVE SWITCH” came in at No. 7 on this year’s chart, NCT DREAM’s “DREAM( )SCAPE” at No. 8, aespa’s “Armageddon” at No. 9, and TXT’s “minisode 3: TOMORROW” at No. 10.
