Watch: “The Potato Lab” Cast Struggles To Harvest And Cook Potatoes In Hilarious Teasers For Special Variety Show

Ahead of its highly anticipated premiere, tvN’s upcoming drama “The Potato Lab” is serving up laughter with a special variety show!

Titled “Three Potato Meals a Day” (liberal translation), the variety show will air on February 22 and 23, offering fans a delightful preview of the drama’s cast as they harvest, cook, and play potato-themed games in the countryside.

The variety show’s teaser video captures the drama’s six cast members—Lee Sun Bin, Kang Tae Oh, Lee Hak Joo, Kim Ga Eun, Yoo Seung Mok, and Nam Hyeon Woo—decked out in adorable potato costumes. In one scene, Lee Sun Bin relentlessly nags Kang Tae Oh as he clumsily attempts to cook potato dishes, making it seem like he’s the one getting “steamed” rather than the actual potatoes. The cast also plays a potato-themed version of “Red Light, Green Light”, hilariously face-planting into the soil in their oversized costumes.

Meanwhile, another pre-released teaser takes viewers to a sprawling potato field in Jeju Island, where Lee Sun Bin and Kang Tae Oh meet local farmers to learn potato harvesting. In an attempt to liven up the atmosphere, Lee Sun Bin asks, “Do you have a song you like to sing while working?” Before the farmers can respond, Kang Tae Oh suddenly bursts into Park Sang Chul’s hit trot song “Unconditionally,” sending everyone into fits of laughter as the farmers dance along.

“Three Potato Meals A Day” airs on February 22 and 23 at 10:30 p.m. KST, while “The Potato Lab” premieres on March 1 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
