Watch: Polar Opposites Lee Sun Bin And Kang Tae Oh Meet At "The Potato Lab" In Preview Of Premiere Episode
The upcoming weekend drama “The Potato Lab” has unveiled a preview of its first episode!
“The Potato Lab” is a new romantic comedy drama set in a rural potato research institute. The story follows Kim Mi Kyeong (Lee Sun Bin), a researcher whose life revolves entirely around potatoes, and So Baek Ho (Kang Tae Oh), a cold and principled corporate director. When So Baek Ho unexpectedly enters Kim Mi Kyeong’s world, the two find themselves entangled in a whirlwind romance.
The newly released teaser video showcases Kim Mi Kyeong in full combat mode. The contrasting vibes between Kim Mi Kyeong, who has devoted her entire life to potatoes, and So Baek Ho, who enters the Potato Lab with a secret agenda, are heightening anticipation for the first broadcast.
Kim Mi Kyeong, who proudly declares, “Potatoes are science,” as she boasts about being at the forefront of agricultural innovation, is humorously juxtaposed with researchers struggling and rolling around in the potato fields, adding a comedic twist.
The preview also captures an unexpected disaster striking the once-peaceful Potato Lab. It seems Kim Mi Kyeong’s wish upon a shooting star—”I hope Seonnyeo Foods goes completely bankrupt!”—might have come true, as the despairing manager Boo Jae Jung (Yoo Seung Mok) is seen wailing about the downfall of Seonnyeo Foods. At the same time, the arrival of the eccentric interim director So Baek Ho, with his striking appearance, adds to the intrigue. True to his nickname as the “grim reaper of capitalism,” So Baek Ho’s fixation on budgets hints at an unexpected storm brewing for the Potato Lab.
